Moscow, July 1 – AIF-Moscow.

Astronaut from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Hazza al-Mansuri and his backup, Sultan al-Nayyadi, completed their preparations before the flight to the International Space Station (ISS), RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center.

Arabs want to explore space?

At the European Center for Cosmonauts in Germany, astronauts studied the equipment and systems of the European laboratory module Columbus. The training took place in a laboratory module that is similar to the present. The training consisted of 30 hours of theoretical and practical classes.

Under the supervision of specialists, astronauts practiced making scientific experiments related to the perception of time in conditions of weightlessness, fluid dynamics in space, changes in human DNA during space flight.

It is noted that the Arab cosmonaut for the first time will conduct such experiments in orbit.

Hazaa al-Mansuri will be in orbit for eight days. As reported on the Roscosmos website, the astronaut will fly to the ISS from Baikonur on September 25.

Recall that last week the crew of the ISS, who stayed on board the station for seven months, landed in a steppe near the Kazakh city of Zhezkazgan.
